How do I fetch timesheet data for a given day and/or week for one or more people?

We have an internal system at work, and we'd like to automate getting the timesheet reports from LP into that system.

I've been looking at the API Guide PDF, but I can't seem to get a clear understanding of how to get at those CSV reports you can generate manually using the LP web interface out using the API. Making REST calls is not a problem, but I was unable to figure out how to iterate all of the timesheets for specific users for a specific day and/or date range.

Could you give some assistance?
